Google FAIL: Google Puts Ads on Google Search Page

So I woke up this morning with this monstrosity glaring in my face on my Google home page.  My first impression was, I was infected by malware, so I hovered over the picture and saw “http://clickserve.dartsearch.net …” and then my second thought was kill it with fire.  But then the little voice in the back of my head said do a Google search for this and see if this is just Google, because if there are ads on the Google search page, that would CERTAINLY be big news worthy of reporting because Google, as far as I know, has never had ads on the Google Search home page.  After running my search, my assumptions were right; it’s all over tech news sites that Google put up an ad for their tablet on the Google Search home page.

I hope this isn’t a sign for things to come and I hope this won’t be up there long because I don’t want to look at it; and no Adblocker won’t block it, that was the first thing I tried to do and it failed; Google was smart and made it part of the web site and not an ad element so Adblocker can’t detect it.  I have no use for a tablet.  I have 2 desktops, 2 laptops, 1 netbook and 2 Android smartphones.  I am not buying anymore computers until the 5 computers I have either die or become so slow and outdated and un-upgradeable anymore, that they become utterly useless. I have one laptop that has already reached the obsolete status and has been rockin the back of my closet for the last 5 years; everything else I have is still up to date.  The last thing I need is a tablet when my Dell Mini 10v netbook more than suffices for that and I can run the Android operating system on it and it’s so small I can just throw it in my purse and go to a cafe.
