Got this in my email today but not surprised really; I never saw any point in using the card. I never even used mine so it was kind of useless as you can link your Intuit account to any debit card. Oh well, whatever.
Our records indicate that you hold an Intuit GoPayment Prepaid Visa® Card issued by The Bancorp Bank, in cooperation with Intuit Payment Solutions. This is a prepaid card and thereby not reported to any credit reporting agency. This is not an attempt to collect a debt. This letter is to notify you that The Bancorp Bank will discontinue all services in connection with these Cards, effective February 13, 2013. Please review the information below to understand your rights and responsibilities regarding the Card.
Your account will close effective February 13, 2013. After this date, the Card will no longer be available for use. Any remaining positive balances will be refunded to you in accordance with the terms and conditions of your Cardholder Agreement, as further explained below. Value Loads cannot be made after December 14, 2012. After this date, you will no longer be able to load money onto your Card.
Re-occurring value loads will end on December 14, 2012. If you have re-occurring loads, (like deposits from your Intuit GoPayment or QuickBooks transactions) please visit Merchant Service Centerand add your bank account information before December 14, 2012. This will prevent funding delays. If you don’t add your bank information, money you collect after December 14, 2012 will be held by Intuit on your behalf. You can retrieve held funds any time, by adding your bank account information.
Use remaining balances before February 13, 2013. If your Card has a positive balance, you have until February 13, 2013 to bring your available balance to $0.00. Your GoPayment Card may be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. If you have any re-occurring debit charges that are assessed to your account, you should contact the merchant to provide them with another means of payment. We encourage you to use your remaining balance to avoid any additional fees on your account. We’ve waived the Teller Cash Withdrawal Fee so you can withdraw your entire remaining card balance, from a participating bank that displays the Visa Acceptance Mark. If you need to withdraw more than $3,500.00, you must first call the Customer Service Center at 1-888-339-8569to increase the maximum amount allowed to be withdrawn in a single transaction.
If there is a remaining available balance on the Card after February 13, 2013, you will be reimbursed by check that will be sent in the name and address we currently have on file. A Paper Check Fee will be deducted from your Card account if a reimbursement check is issued. The Paper Check Fee is $14.95 for the GoPayment Card. Any reimbursement amount may be subject to additional deductions if there are any unresolved disputed items on your account. All other fees associated with the Card will remain, so please refer to your Cardholder Agreement for more information.
Thank you very much for using your Card. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this change may cause.
